HOME OXYGEN FUNDING
Understand Provincial Oxygen Funding Programs
Oxygen therapy is a physician-prescribed medication for short-term or long-term use. Provincial funding guidelines and coverage for home oxygen varies by each province. Respiratory Homecare Solutions assists you with government funding, program eligibility and private insurance coverage.

To qualify for ongoing funding, patients must have a valid Provincial Health Number (PHN) and meet AADL criteria with any required testing.
AADL will cover 100% of the cost of your home oxygen needs if you medically qualify under the AADL criteria.
RHS is an approved provider for home oxygen on behalf of the AADL. If you qualify, RHS will co-ordinate all aspects of your government funding.
If you are not medically eligible for AADL funding, your insurance company may cover a portion of the cost. RHS can assist in contacting your insurance provider to determine coverage and extended health benefits.
Patients requiring oxygen can also pay privately. A prescription and a diagnosis are still required.
