How do I Clean my CPAP Equipment?
Using your CPAP every night is key to your overall health and well-being but in order to get the most out of your therapy you need to maintain your equipment. That means following a regular cleaning and replacement schedule.
What happens when I sleep?
When you sleep with your CPAP mask, night after night, oils from your skin can build up on the surface of your mask, breaking down the silicone over time. This can affect the seal of your cushion and impact the pressure delivered by your machine. Cleaning your mask daily with CPAP wipes gently removes the buildup and can lengthen the life of your mask.
Humidity is essential for your therapy comfort but water in your tube, mask and chamber can pool creating an ideal environment for bacteria and mold to grow. Regular cleaning of your CPAP parts and system with CPAP soap keeps it sterile so you can sleep better knowing you are breathing clean, fresh air every night.
How often should I clean my cpap equipment?
To keep your equipment in good working order and get the most out of your sleep therapy, follow these basic guidelines:
Weekly
